Winds were light from the west early in the day becoming moderate to fairly strong northwest mid morning and then west-northwest by mid afternoon. Raptor Observations: The flight was about as spread out as it could be in response to the varying wind direction and absence/presence of breaks in the cloud cover. There was a very good lift off of vultures early in the day followed by a bit of a lull until the biggest push of birds came through during the late morning and early afternoon. After this time there was smaller pulses of birds until the end of the day. There was a smattering of other birds passing through over the course of the day and overall there were less Buteos than the previous day.
