At about 2:10 pm today (Oct 27) I found two Cattle Egrets at a cattle farm a few km west of Peters Corners (intersection of Hwys 5 & 8) in west Hamilton (south of Rockton). They were at the Yellow Briar Farm at the NE corner of Woodhill Rd and Hwy 5 hanging around with the cattle in the barnyard. To see them, turn north from Hwy 5 onto Woodhill Rd, and go only about a hundred feet or so and pull over on the right shoulder at the top of the knoll where you can get fully off the road, and view the barnyard to the east.
