Weather:
Conditions were generally sunny today with occasional overcast periods.
Winds were light to moderate southwest in the morning becoming fairly
strong and gusty in the afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
The flight overall was light and dominated heavily by Red-tails and TVs.
While most birds recorded were well to the north, including the Golden
Eagles seen, an adult Peregrine made quite a close pass just to the south
of the count area and an adult Bald Eagle made a spectacular swoop to catch
a fish along the channel in front of the watch. An adult dark morph
Red-tail was also a notable sighting.

Non-raptor Observations:
We were keeping a watchful eye out for rarities among the many Tree
Swallows migrating today. Early November is the typical time frame for Cave
Swallows to appear along the Great Lakes and any swallow flock this time of
year is worth looking through for this vagrant.
