I viewed the juvenile pectoral sandpiper Iain Fleming reported hanging out with
killdeers on the mudflats at the mouth of Mimico Creek at 4:30 PM Wednesday.
The eyebrow is very white and very prominent. I wonder if it could be a
Sharp-tailed sandpiper? The white eyebrow is supposed to be the distinguishing
feature. It would be a long way from home but given the time of year and
westerly winds, I wonder. The bird was with about a dozen killdeers close to a
log straight out from the boat launching ramp in Humber Bay Park West.

The entrance to Humber Bay Park West is just west of the bridge across Mimico
creek on Lakeshore Road just west of Parklawn Road, Toronto.
