HI Ontbirders,
Around the noon hour today (Wed.) I came across a lone Cave Swallow in Erieau at the fish tug harbour (behind Barney's Boats). My intention was to get a look at the Franklin's Gull, but the swallow was a bonus. The Franklin's Gull WAS present with a few Bonaparte's in the channel. Very few gulls compared to yesterday. As well, there was a late Barn Swallow with the Cave competing for the few insects that were available. Decent photos were obtained of the Cave Swallow roosting on the back of the blue building. I also obtained a photo of the Cave and Barn side by side!

Directions to Erieau: The port of Erieau is located south of Blenheim.
West out of Blenheim on Talbot Trail (Rd. 3), turn left onto (Erieau Rd.)
Rd. 12 and follow to village. (The pier area is found by continuing through
the village and turning right at the restaurant intersection).
At the restaurant intersection turn left, then a quick right. Follow road to the big blue buildings of Barney's Boats. Go behind to the fish tug harbour.
