Dear fellow birders:
Today, while performing Ecological Land Classification at Foulds Tract my team
and I spotted a small flock of Common Redpoll on the northeast corner of the
Tract. Foulds Tract is a 19.5 hectare forest tract managed by the Grand River
Conservation Authority located approximately 3 km. south of the town of Glen
Morris, near Cambridge. To get there take Highway #24 south through Cambridge
to Glen Morris Rd., which is just north of Pinehurst Conservation Area. Turn
left, heading east and proceed over the Grand River to the town of Glen Morris.
At East River Rd., turn right, heading west and continue to McLean School Rd.
Turn left, heading east to McPherson School Rd. The Redpolls were seen at the
corner of McLean School Rd. and McPherson School Rd. on the south side of the
road in a wetspot
Good birding!
