Birders,
The juvenile Northern Gannet found by Rob Dobos yesterday, was still
present on the western end of lake Ontario this afternoon Sunday,
probably ranging from the Burlington lift bridge to 50 point. John Lamey
and myself observed it at Grays Rd being harassed by 3 Ring-billed
gulls. Brandon Holden had seen it off Hutches restaurant earlier this
afternoon.
After close to 3hrs of searching, the male Barrows Goldeneye was finally
located off Lawrence P Sayer Park, between Grays and Green Rd in Stoney
Creek, in with literally hundreds and hundreds of ducks. Lots of
patience is required, and beware of the hybrid!
Good luck,
Dave Don
