Winds were generally light varying from west to south-southwest. Raptor Observations: It appears that our season is winding down as only a handful of birds were recorded under fairly favorable conditions. Non-raptor Observations: Today saw the return of the Gannet although this time it was much more cooperative, giving us several good views over the course of a half hour or so as it worked the area between Sturgeon Bar and Celeron Island. It made quite a few plunge dives during the time that we watched it but it wasnt clear whether it caught anything in any of these attempts. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
