Hi everyone,

I found a dark SNOWY OWL at the intersection of Concession 20 Rd. and Ste-Rose Rd. shortly after 4 pm today.

This sighting and that of 2 others reported today in the Montreal area will likely be soon followed by more reports in southern Ontario.

As usual I documented this sighting with a photo that can be found here: http://jacquesbouvier.blogspot.com

DIRECTIONS:

From Hwy 417 east of Casselman take exit 58 and proceed north on Cty Rd 8
for about 1 km until you come to Concession 20 Rd in the middle of the long curve. Turn right (east) on Concession 20 Rd. and continue until you come to Ste-Rose Road.

As in other years the first Snowies tend to move around a lot so it is recommended to travel along the neighbouring concession roads to increase your chances of seeing one.
