Today, Saturday December 29, a Hoary Redpoll appeared at our feeder in Branchton. It was seen foraging with a very large flock of Common Redpoll, half a dozen Dark-eyed Juncos and a few Tree Sparrows. The feeder is at 37 Hughson Street in Branchton. Branchton is on Branchton Road 4 km south of the Highway 8/Branchton Road intersection in Cambridge, Ont. It looks to be C. h. exilipes in plumage; however it was much larger than the Common Redpolls. Paul F. J.
