Two Peregrine falcons were roosting today on the CIBC building on the North West corner of Yonge and Bloor in Toronto. Periodically this afternoon (after the snow) they dashed about in fantastic aerial displays, diving and soaring, sometimes seeming to miss each other by a few feet. We had not seen them much recently.
Get off the subway at Yonge and Bloor and look up to the top of the CIBC building near the illuminated (all day and all night - ugh!) sign. We are on the 38th floor of 44 Charles Street West so we get a great view. Occasionally one will zip past a couple of feet from our window. We see them roosting on the South and West sides. They may roost on the other sides as well but we would not see them. They usually roost quite a long way apart, but within sight of each other.
