Hello all, There was a flock of Pine Grosbeaks in the Mt. Pleasant cemetary. I don't know how many there were as I was not there birding but I could see at least 8 sitting in a deciduous tree. They were near marker 51. There is a lot of cones and berries on the ornamental trees in the cemetary but I am not sure which ornamentals they would be able to feed on. There were some junipers with a lot of berries in the area.
To get there: Take the Bayview exit from the 401. Follow Bayview south. Turn right (west) on Eglinton. Turn left (south) on Mt. Pleasant. the entrance to the cemetary is just beyond the bridge past Merton Ave. Once you enter continue straight on the entrance road. You may even want to park at the entrance and walk since it is such a beautiful place. Cheers, Ben Walters _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
