A Townsend's Solitaire was seen at noon today near the corner of County Road 24
(Point Petre Road ) and Simpson Road, in Prince Edward County. The bird was
seen with a small group of Eastern Bluebirds. The solitaire was happily dining
on red cedar berries. The bird was observed from the roadside, although a
somewhat aggressive and noisy dog that comes to the end of a neighbouring
driveway makes observation of the bird something of a challenge.

DIRECTIONS: From Picton take County Road 10 (Lake Street) from the LCBO and
follow for 13 km to Cherry Valley. Turn left at the stop sign and continue on
CR 10 for another 2 km and turn right onto CR 24, then another 8 km to Simpson
Road.
