Birders:

Mark Cranford notified ONTBIRDS members back on January 19, 2008 that he and I,
with encouragement from Blake Maybank, had created a Winter Bird List for
Ontario for the 2007/2008 winter season. The link, again, for the Ontario
Winter Bird List is as follows:
http://www3.ns.sympatico.ca/maybank/other/onwinter.htm

There are 4 days of the winter birding season left. Most species recorded in
previous winters have been seen and reported in the 2007/2008 winter birding
season, with a few exceptions. For our northern OFO members, if you have
sightings of Willow or Rock Ptarmigan from December 1, 2007 to February 29,
2008 we would appreciate you posting those sightings to ONTBIRDS. There has
also been no posting for Boreal Owl so far this winter. For our mid to Southern
Ontario listers, we are missing Brewer's Blackbird.

Thank you to everyone who has posted so far this year, and we look forward to
doing it again in the Winter of 2008/2009.
