Snow started around 12:05 and I left just after 12:30, because of lack of activity and impending winter storm. Raptor Observations: No special features on raptors. There was one local Red-tail, and two birds that came west and then returned - none of these was counted Non-raptor Observations: 198 Tundra Swans flew right over the field for good photos (90 @9:50, and groups of 85 and 23 around 10:10). 24 Cedar Waxwings visited about 3 times. The site is 1km south of the south shore of Lake Ontario, 20km east of Hamilton, 40km west of Niagara Falls. Directions to site: To get to Beamer CA, take the QEW to Exit 72, follow Christie St./Mountain St. to the top of the escarpment, turn right on Ridge Road West, and go 1.6km to Quarry Rd. Turn right on Quarry Rd. and drive 100m to the conservation area. Parking is normally available inside the park.
