Evening Folks:

In spite of the persistent, considerable snow cover, there were Am Woodcocks
peenting and displaying at 8:00pm this evening. The display flights were few
probably due to the cold. But, a sign of spring none the less...

Directions:

The woodcocks were on the south west quadrant of the intersection of 83
highway and Ausable Line. This intersection is 2 concessions west of Exeter
on 83 highway. Exeter is approximately 50 KMs north of London. The property
is posted No Hunting and No Trespassing and the land owner is adamant about
not having anyone on the property. So please respect their wishes and view
this engaging rite of spring from the roadside.
