Two male Wood Ducks have joined the 2 females that overwintered in Stratford. This morning I saw 3 Wood Ducks along with a Hooded Merganser, 2 Bufflehead, blacks, Mallard, and Canada Geese on the open section of Lake Victoria near the Festival Bridge. Other recent arrivals include Turkey Vultures, Killdeer, grackles and robins.
Lake Victoria can be reached from Ontario Street (Hwy 7/8) by driving North on Front Street then turning right at Lakeside Drive .
