More migrants are returning to the Stratford area. This afternoon I saw my
first Pied-billed Grebe on Lake Victoria directly north of the Festival
Theatre. Also on the lake were 4 Hooded Merganser, 7 Wood Ducks, 2 Bufflehead,
1 Common Goldeneye, 3 American Black Duck along with Mallards and Canada Geese.
I saw or heard Killdeer, red wings, grackles, robins.

Lake Victoria can be reached from Ontario Street (Hwy 7/8) by turning north on
Front Street and then right at Lakeside Drive. Parking is available along
Lakeside Drive.
