I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the low fast "quacking" of several Wood
Frogs, the calls emanating from just south of the north platform on the west
side of Cranberry Marsh.
My somewhat crippled right leg allowed me to hop along to the south
platform--great viewing of waterfowl--7 Am.Coots, many of each of Ring-neckeds,
Shovelers, Northern Pintails, Scaup spp., Gadwalls, Mallards, Blacks,
Am.Wigeons, Green-winged Teals, a few Redheads, Wood Ducks, one Hooded
Merganser, and a BLUE-WINGED TEAL had been seen from the north platform.

Just east of Lakeridge Rd. in southwest Whitby, along Victorias St., turn south
down Hall's Rd. toward the lakefront, parking at either roadside parking area.
