Today at Matchedash Bay north of Coldwater I found a Tufted Titmouse, which is rare in Simcoe County. The bird was in the trees opposite the parking lot on Kinnear Sideroad. This was during a hike of the Brereton Club of Barrie. We also had a group of 3 Yellow-throated Vireos, Sandhill Crane, Golden-winged Warblers, and Sedge Wrens.

Directions- Drive north from Coldwater following the main street out of town which becomes Upper Big Chute Rd and stay on that until you reach Kinnear Sideroad, which leads to Matchedash Bay. There is a parking area just before you reach the bay. Watch for Brewers Blackbirds along Upper Big Chute on the way there, especially between the green barn and red barn. I saw one in the morning (830) but it was not around after lunch.
