Hello:

The Franklin's Gull reported earlier by Bob Knudsen is still present as of
5:00pm and Bob's directions to the area are below. It spent much of the
afternoon feeding in the field across from 736 Lakeview Avenue were it
rarely strayed more than 50 feet from an old fly infested animal carcass in
the middle of the field. It also spent some time a bit further down the road
napping with the Ring-billed Gulls in the fields on both the NW and NE
corners of Lakeview and Pumpkin Point Road. It also was observed having a
bath in a big puddle just of Calabogie Rd. on the north side just before
Fremlin's farm were I managed some decent photos. Its in nice alternate
plumage but has a lot of wear in the flight feathers.
