Around noon today (Sunday) I stopped in at Blenheim Sewage Lagoons. I spotted a female Ruff in pond 5 (at the back) among the many shorebirds.

Also present was a single Stilt Sandpiper, one Solitary Sandpiper, 2 Semipalmated Plovers, 4 Short-billed Dowitchers, 5 Greater Yellowlegs, about 75 Lesser Yellowlegs plus many Least, Semipalmated and Pectoral Sandpipers. Most of the Semipalmated Sandpipers were in the sprinkler cells to the north.

A female Bufflehead was in pond 3.
