We decided to try for a century on July 31 and Aug 1 by birding the Valley. We hit Mill of Kintail, Bill Mason CA, Andrew Haydon Park, Mud Lake, Moodie Dr/Trail Rd Ponds, Leitrim Road at the airport, Petrie Island, Alfred and Mer Bleu Bogs and Alfred lagoons. We reached 93 species in 2 days with the following highlights:

9 species of sparrows mostly in the grassy fields south of Leitrim (grasshopper, lincoln's and clay-coloured)
Bluebirds near Blakeney
Minor migration fallout at Mud lake with Red-eyed and Warbling Vireos, Wilson's, Black-throated Green and Yellow Warblers
Lots of Vireos at Petrie Island and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Black Terns on the Ottawa river
American Bittern and Moorhen at Alfred lagoons
Alder and Willow Flycatachers at Leitrim and Bill Mason
Albino Kingbirds just south of Ashston

thx to Susan, Robin, and Rick
