On the way home from work tonight at 7 PM I spotted 15 Nighthawks just north
of Appleton. They were flying very low over a field just north of the
Appleton soccer fields. This is the first year so far in 20+ years of
looking, that I have seen none in Carleton Place.

Directions: Hwy 7 one set of lights east of Carleton Place, take Cty Rd
17(Appleton Side Rd) north to River Rd. Continue on for a few hundred
meters north of River Rd on Appleton Side Rd and look in the fields on the
west side of the road.
