A juvenile Whimbrel that was originally found by Barry Harrison was relocated
by Jim Fairchild and me around 3:30pm today (Thursday).
The bird was seen on the west baseball diamond at Eastpoint Park in Scarborough
but was heard by us flying over the open lawn area west of the ball diamonds
and east of the water treatment plant.
We last saw it standing behind second base.

Directions:

Exit the 401 (exit 387) at Morningside Avenue. Go south on Morningside to
Lawrence Avenue. Turn left (east) on Lawrence to Manse Road. Turn right on
Manse and follow it south. It ends at Copperfield Avenue.
Turn left on Copperfield past the water treatment plant to the ball diamonds.
We parked before the ball diamonds just past the plant and walked along a path
to the mowed lawn area behind the plant.
