Hello All,
Visited the Embrun lagoons this afternoon, there were three Red-headed ducks, one drake and two females. The Common Moorhens now have many young along the sides, there are also American Coots with their young. The Red-neck Grebe is still there, the Pied-billed Grebes have young in three different cells. Large numbers of Green-winged Teal, Mallards, Ruddy Ducks, Shovellers and some Canada Geese. Cheers, Brian Young Directions. Embrun is about 20 minutes east of Ottawa, off the 417. The Lagoons are just south of town of Embrum on route 400. Can be seen by viewing Google Earth. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
