50 plus nighthawks viewed from my deck near Runnymede Public school. Catching up on the newspaper, nighthawks appeared Friday night August 29th. They initially were a group of about ten that have been in the neighbourhood this summer but they just kept coming.Started about 6:30 pm and finished about 7:40.
Runnymede Public School is on Runnymede Rd two blocks north of Bloor on the east side.Take subway to Runnymede station and walk two blocks north on Runnymede.Parking available in school lot at north end of yard.Good viewing from the school yard that parallels Runnymede.
