Weather:
After early morning cloud and fog, there was gradual clearing with mostly
sunny conditions prevailing from late morning onward. Some light haze
persisted throughout the day. Winds were light north-north west early
becoming northeast by midday.
Raptor Observations:
The flight began slowly but improved rapidly as overhead conditions became
clearer. Several species had their best movements of the fall thus far,
most notably Kestrels and Harriers that had been recorded in low numbers up
to this point. A few decent Broad-wing kettles were seen at midday but
certainly we are seeing the wind down for this species.
