Weather:
A mix of sun and cloud were seen early in the day with heavier cloud cover
moving into the area gradually as another system approached from the
southwest. Rain ended the count prematurely in the early afternoon. Winds
were light east-southeast.


Raptor Observations:
There was actually a very good movement of birds ahead of the advancing
weather pattern, particularly Sharpies who were steadily coming by in small
groups of a couple to a half dozen birds throughout much of the time we
were at the watch. Other highlights of the day were two Rough-legs, one of
each morph as well as a tandem of juvenile Golden Eagles, always a treat
when these big birds come by in multiples.
