The Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch regrets to advise that after a lengthy illness Tom Reavley passed away early this morning. Tom started counting at Beamer Conservation Area in the early 1990s, working with the late Jack Ryan and then George Meyers to cover most weekdays. Until his illness he was counting three days a week and coming out to help on other days. Tom enjoyed the hawks and especially the hawkwatchers.
As far as we understand, in keeping with Tom's wishes there will be no service.
