On a tip from a fellow member of South Lake Simcoe Naturalists, I saw the Snow Goose (white morph adult) associating with a small flock of Canada Geese very close to shore opposite 717 Lake Drive East - between Salvation Army Road and the curve east of Mossington Point . This spot is about 1 km. east of Jackson's Point Ontario.
I identified it as a Snow Goose because the bill - pinkish - was outlined by the black "smile" line described in the National Geographic Guide to NA Birds. Ross's Goose does not have the black line.
