A T T E N T I O N
Throughout November the main gate will be CLOSED AND LOCKED on Tuesday,
Thursday, and Sunday, You may walk in on these days. The gate should be
open and unlocked for hunters on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Park at tower and get guest pass. Waterfowl hunters begin hunting one-half
hour before sunrise and one-half hour after sunset. Hunters are in the park

Weather:
Steady high pressure system (30.4 in Hg) with winds SSW to SW at less than
7 mph. Temps 9.5C->16.9C. NO clouds with very good horizontal visibility
but with a haze overhead that made small planes difficult to see near the
sun. Northward the haze was no problem.

Raptor Observations:
Fair day with most action at the northern horizon with vultures just
clearing the tree tops. Red-tails were few but above and below the tree
line north. Golden eagles were north also but south of the tree line over
the marsh. NO Sharpies! One Cooper's and one male Harrier.

Non-raptor Observations:
Ducks everywhere. Mallards, some Blacks, many Blue-winged Teal, and a few
N. Shoveler, Pintail, Buffle-head and Wigeon. Coot are plenty. Pied-billed
Grebe one. Cedar Waxwing, Killdeer, Rusty Blackbird.
