Weather:
Sunny skies continued today with generally light southeast to
south-southeast winds. A light haze persisted for much of the day.

Raptor Observations:
Even though the migration was fairly light overall, today’s activity was an
improvement over the last couple of days with a very nice diversity of
birds noted overall. As with the migration in general lately, most birds
passed well to the north. Exceptions were a very good view of the only
Rough-leg seen today, a dark morph and also one of the two Northern
Goshawks recorded for the day gave onlookers a nice view passing just north
of the watch.

Non-raptor Observations:
Rusty Blackbirds continue to be one of the more conspicuous passerines of
interest in and around the park. With all the concerns over population
declines in this species, it is nice to see so many still staging during
the fall migration in this area.
