At 10:40 this morning, I was sitting in my mother's armchair, lamenting all the
wonderful birds that I was unable to see this incredible past weekend
(congratulations to all who did see Cave Swallows and other goodies) when I
observed a skein of 16 Tundra Swans flying east to west over the city. It
lifted my spirit a bit. I then went to the Little River area for a couple of
hours, but the only bird of note was an immature blue morph Snow Goose that has
been there since at least October 15, in the northernmost of the 3 big ponds.
