A rising BP and a TUV=2.5 were encouraging, but the medium winds were out of
the west, with some WNW element.
Highlight non-raptors--SNOWY OWL (at 0926)--in the wooded area west of Hall's
Rd. (1 photo was taken); 4 SNOW GEESE (2 blue; 2 pure Snows flew around
together); CACKLING GOOSE, WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, PINE SISKINS, N.SHRIKE,
PURPLE FINCH (female), imm. WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, 15+ COMMON REDPOLLS. Among
the WATERFOWL on the wetland in front of us--Am.coots, n.pintail, n.shoveler,
gadwall, green-winged teal, mallard, black duck, AM.WIGEON, GOLDENEYE,
BUFFLEHEAD.
On Monday, Nov.10, I made no ONTBIRDS report because we had no
non-raptors--there were 6 migrating raptors- 2 sharp-shinned, 1 Cooper's, 2
Red-tailed, 1 AM.KESTREL).
