Raptor Observations: Overall variety was not too bad today but numbers were again low. A group of a dozen TVs was unexpected perhaps at this point of the season but not unprecedented. A rapid fly-pass of a speedy tiercel Peregrine rounded out the days species diversity nicely. Non-raptor Observations: Small groups of finches were busy migrating today, mostly Goldfinches and Siskins but with a few Purple Finches thrown in as well. A couple hundred Tundra Swans were noted with the largest group being about 65 birds. Great Egrets continue to migrate in good numbers. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
