Observation start time: 09:30:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 5.5 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Fred Kirn, John Elliott, Lathe Claflin, Rodney Laura

Visitors:
Paul Cypher

Weather:
Today saw overcast conditions throughout the day with light winds, from the
west in the morning and south-southeast in the afternoon.

Raptor Observations:
Overall variety was not too bad today but numbers were again low. A group
of a dozen TVs was unexpected perhaps at this point of the season but not
unprecedented. A rapid fly-pass of a speedy tiercel Peregrine rounded out
the day’s species diversity nicely.

Non-raptor Observations:
Small groups of finches were busy migrating today, mostly Goldfinches and
Siskins but with a few Purple Finches thrown in as well. A couple hundred
Tundra Swans were noted with the largest group being about 65 birds. Great
Egrets continue to migrate in good numbers.
