I guess I made the wrong decision to head down stream 9:30 am-ish this
morning and began searching for the Cave swallows at Morrisburg despite all
my better instincts to start at Johnstown grain storage building and work
eastward. So much for the day heating up! Anyway, by the time I got to
Johnstown in the afternoon rain had set in, and I did see the pigeons but no
Cave Swallows. It just felt to miserable out for Cave swallows!

There was a Snowy Owl just to the east of the international
bridge on the American side of the river (what is it with this guy and
Yankee birds!). I also had a Greater Yellowlegs on the shore of a small
river (name?) just east of Iroquois. Oh, and no swallows at Cardinal, they
likely moved west (of all things ; )).

Good Birding,
Gerard.
