This morning we were surprised to find fourteen Bohemian Waxwings perched in a
dead tree at Henry Marsh in Bracebridge. A short distance east of the marsh
along the Trans Canada Trail there were about twenty White-winged Crossbills in
the balsam firs. A small flock of Pine Siskins was at the Henry Rd. parking
area.

directions to Henry Marsh: Take Hwy. 11 north from Barrie, then Hwy. 118W exit
into Bracebridge. At the first traffic light turn left onto Beaumont Dr. and
follow to Henry Rd. on your left. There is a parking area by the pile of
woodchips at the trailhead. At the "T" in the trail, turn left to look for the
Crossbills or turn right to view the frozen marsh.
