John Floegl contacted me to tell me that he watched the female Avocet at 1640,Sat., Nov.22. She was actively feeding and flying about in the same lakeshore lagoon as per several days ago.
South down Westney Rd. in Ajax, to Lake Driveway, turning right, then following this road down towards the lake, turning right into Rotary Park--park car, then walk south down to the lakefront, turning right (west) for a short walk to a long pedestrian bridge--walk along it, keeping your eyes peeled southward--you will see the lagoon on your left; a sand bar separates it from the lake.
