I refound the first-winter male King Eider at 10am this morning, Monday
January 12. It is still where it was last seen yesterday, off the Plastics
factory at the foot of Normar Road at the east end of Cobourg. It was again
by itself, about 100 metres out on the lake, so a scope is fairly essential.

Directions:
Go south from Hwy.401 at Division Street, Cobourg, Exit 474, to Hwy.2, King
Street. Go east on King St. about 5km then turn south onto Normar Rd. just
before the railway bridge. Follow Normar to where it ends in a huge pile of
snow. Walk round the snowpile to the clifftop and look southeast.
