A short afternoon drive produced 4 NORTHERN PINTAILS in a small patch of
open water by the west bridge of Wilton Creek along Big Creek Road. South of
Napanee on the east side of Cty. Rd. 8 in the open field opposite Galt St. was
a SNOWY OWL and just west of Bath along the Lake Ontario shoreline were 2 BALD
EAGLES sitting side by side. In Violet was 1 COMMON REDPOLL, 1 PINE SISKIN and
one block away from my house in Amherstview on Coronation Blvd. by Bath Road
was a flock of 25 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS which allowed me to walk very near
for interesting close observation of them feeding at eye level.

Good Birding

The west bridge on Wilton Creek is at the junction of Big Creek Road and Perry
Street south of Morven which is east of Napanee on Hwy 2.
Violet is east of Morven north of Hwy 2. There are a few good feeders in the
village.
