Good morning, On my way in to work this morning, Bob Cermak already had the Boreal Owl in the scope along March Valley Road. He actually found the bird by silhouette in the dark at 06:40!
The Boreal Owl is perched in deciduous trees on the north side of March Valley Road about 800 m W of Klondyke Road. To get there, take March Road off the 417 into Kanata. Turn East on Carling off March. Turn left (northish) off Carling onto Hertzburg. Follow this around to the Marshes Golf Course where you can turn right onto March Valley Road. Go up a couple of km past Klondyke. After about 800 m there is a small woodlot on your right (north). The owl is perched in the open opposite the second DND no trespassing sign.
