Greetings fellow birders:

While teaching my students winter plant field identification techniques at our
Biological Field School, near Aylmer, Ontario we spotted a flock of about 15
White winged crossbills flying over. Crossbills have been regularly seen at
our school since November. The birds were seen at approximately 2:30 pm in the
afternoon. To get there from Highway #3 drive toward Aylmer from St. Thomas on
Highway #3. At Rogers Rd. S., turn right, heading south. Continue driving
south on Rogers Rd. S., approximately 1.5 km to Conservation Line at the stop
sign. Proceed through the stop sign to the third entrance on the left, or east
side. This is the entrance to Pinecroft, known for it's bed & breakfast as
well as pottery and teahouse. Dave Jolly, B.Sc.,Executive DirectorEARTHQUEST
