Highlights of reports received February 5 through February 12 from the Niagara Frontier Region include SNOWY OWL, PINE GROSBEAK and waterfowl.

February 11, a SNOWY OWL was reported again, east of the Village of Medina, on Route 31 near Culvert Road in the Town of Ridgeway.

February 8, 3 PINE GROSBEAKS in the Town of Elma. At feeders, 30 PINE SISKINS in East Aurora and 28 PINE SISKINS and YELLOW-B. SAPSUCKER in Silver Creek. WHITE-W. CROSSBILLS still at many locations, including 21 at the conference center on Route 18, east of Olcott.

Waterfowl in Dunkirk Harbor this week included over 3500 COMMON MERGANSERS and 1600 GREATER SCAUP, 11 HORNED GREBES, 10 GREAT BLUE HERONS, 7 BALD EAGLES, 2 LITTLE GULLS and small numbers of GADWALL, LESSER SCAUP, RUDDY DUCK and PIED-
 BILLED GREBE.

On the west branch of the upper Niagara River off Grand Island, thousands of CANVASBACKS and GREATER SCAUP. 85 TUNDRA SWANS at Beaver Island State Park, and a pair of BALD EAGLES at Strawberry Island.

At Queenston, Ontario, on the lower Niagara River, 1 LITTLE GULL and 8 BONAPARTE'S GULLS, and at the falls and power plants, a total of 5 ICELAND GULLS.

Also this week, 5 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS and 3 BALD EAGLES in the Cattaraugus County Town of Dayton. At the Dunkirk Airport in Chautauqua County, another ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, 2 BALD EAGLES, EASTERN BLUEBIRD and 11 SNOW BUNTINGS. And at Stiglemeyer Park in Cheektowaga, SONG SPARROW with BROWN CREEPER, CAROLINA WREN and AMER. TREE SPARROW.
