Hello ONTBirders, Yesterday, March 6th, while outside near to Moreland-Dixon Rd. I heard what started as a single familiar call - that of the RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD. I followed the sound and was surprised to see a flock 200+ RWBB. Their calls were loud and persistent as they alternated between trees in the Moreland-Dixon Road valley. Also seen along the road and flying in to check out the RWBB are at least 6 AMERICAN ROBIN. Cheers, Joshua See (and Petra Deane) Directions to Moreland-Dixon Road: From the 401 at Kingston travel north on Division Street (or Montreal Street) for approximately 10 minutes before turning right (or left) on to Moreland-Dixon Road. The birds were found in the relative valley of the road. _________________________________________________________________ Reinvent how you stay in touch with the new Windows Live Messenger. http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9650731_______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
