Hi Ontbirders,

This afternoon 21 March I went to Milton Road to observe the geese (and some Northern Pintails), then went around local roads. At 3:50 PM I observed a male Eastern Bluebird on Giroux Road some 20 meters east of where the road crests at the Lafarge Quarry gates (The quarry ponds are still frozen). It initially was on the telephone wire then moved between a couple of fence posts on both sides of the road. I also had at 3:30PM a Killdeer on Perreault Road just west of the intersection with Trim Road.

Happy Birding

Directions: If on highway 417 east of Ottawa, take exit 96 (Boundary Road) and go north to Russell Road then right (easterly) to Milton Road. Turn left up Milton. Perrault Road is the first right not long after the bridge. It ends at Trim Road where you can jog on/off Trim onto McFadden Road and continue easterly to Frank Kenny (which also intersects Russell Rd). Turn left up Frank Kenny, cross the Colonial Road intersection (4-way stop) and the next right is Giroux Road.
