At around 3:30 pm today on Dufferin County Rd. 3, approx. 2.4 km west of
Dufferin County Rd 24, in the flooded fields on the north side of the road,
there were a pair of N. Pintails and 2 male Wood Ducks, along with a few Am.
Black Ducks, a number of Mallards and Canada Geese. This area is just north of
Hillsburgh.
In Hillsburgh, on Mill Pond behind the library, there were also 2 Trumpeter
Swans, a Bufflehead, and a few Common Mergansers.
Hillsburgh is located about 20 minutes north of Georgetown, straight up
Trafalgar Road.
Earlier, a male Hooded Merganser was spotted on a pond at the north east corner
of 6th line and County 124, just west of Brisbane.
Good birding.
