The big story this weekend was a major build up of Canada Geese on the St. Lawrence, with tens of thousands along the Long Sault Parkway. Concentrations were present at both the Long Sault and Ingleside entrances. There were only a few ducks present.
I received a report from Martin Bowman of over 10,000 Greater Snow Geese in the Williamstown area on Sunday morning. Once the weather warms up later this week, we could see additional birds move into the region. The Long Sault Parkway, west of Cornwall is accessible from both Long Sault and Ingleside. Both communities can be reached by Hwy 401 or County Rd 2. Williamstown is accessible from Hwy 401. Take the Summerstown exit and head north (left) to Cty Rd 19. Turn right and pass through Williamstown. Snow Geese move around various back roads.
