Hello from the Brighton Wetlands
My first open house will be April 18th Saturday morning from 8:30 am to 10:30
am

I will be having the wetlands open again this year, as usual I will also do
requests for private viewing for those who can not make the weekly hours, my
e-mail and phone numbers are below, my home phone has an answering machine so
do not hesitate to leave a message, if possible a few days notice would help,
if I can not get there(wetlands) I will be able to have someone meet you.
As most of you know I volunteer my time for this and I would like to say I have
enjoyed it immensely, all who have shown up (over 600) in the past year have
taught me a lot, well except for the "Thompson Hawk" LOL, I do apologize for
that little SNAFU, I am still in the learning stage.
As mentioned before the Osprey have come back and are breeding, I am dropping
the water level but because of the rain it may take a few weeks for the levels
to drop.

Directions: The Constructed Wetland is located at the SE corner of
Brighton. From Hwy 401, take the Brighton exit 509 (Hwy. 30) and follow
it south into town. Go south through the two traffic lights, over
the railway tracks and follow the main road, now called Prince Edward
Street, south. About 1 km south of the tracks, the main road begins
to swing to the left and becomes Cty. Rd. 64. As this long turn
ends the Constructed Wetlands appear on the right side. Look for the
Wetland viewing sign at the east end of the Wetland.
