Yesterday at noon, while searching for the recently reported two Cooper’s
Hawks, at Colonel Samuel Smith Park, I instead found four Black-crowned
Night-herons roosting in the tall spruce southeast of the large chimney between
the walkway and the small creek.

Colonel Samuel Smith Park is at the southern most end of Colonel Samuel Smith
Park Drive, that is the southern most extension of Kipling Ave, in Etobicoke
(West end of Toronto). Ample parking is available at the end of the road.

Happy trails,

Andy Tanas
